(Fort Worth, TX) — Hal McLeod, Vice President of Sales for HEALTHPOINT, Ltd., a DFB Pharmaceuticals affiliate company, has announced that Jeff Fortino has received the Surgical Sales Representative of the Year Award for his work in the company during 2002. A two-time award-winner, Mr. Fortino had received the honor in 2000 for what was then the company’s Infection Prevention division.

        He also received the Triseptin® Product Award for his sales volume of the preoperative asepsis product during 2002. Both awards were presented to Mr. Fortino earlier this spring at HEALTHPOINT’s annual sales meeting.

        “ Jeff has been a valuable member of our sales team for over three years,” said Mr. McLeod. “We continue to benefit from his outstanding sales expertise and proven leadership.”

        One of the original sales representatives hired to launch HEALTHPOINT’s Infection Prevention division in 2000, Mr. Fortino brings HEALTHPOINT’s skin asepsis and wound matrix products to hospital surgical departments. His territory includes Western and Central Florida. Mr. Fortino was promoted to Eastern Region Sales Trainer in 2001.

        Before joining HEALTHPOINT, Mr. Fortino was a regional manager for Schick Technologies, Inc. in Long Island City, NY, where his management skills increased regional sales revenue by more than 50 percent. He has also worked for Dentsply New Image in Carlsbad, CA, and Kraft General Foods, Inc. in Houston, TX.

        Mr. Fortino graduated from the University of North Texas in Denton with a B.B.A. in Marketing Management. He now resides in Tampa, FL, with his wife, Kathleen, and their three children, Ryan, Wesley, and Isabella.
