T3 Studios, Fort Worth Photo and Performance Services Enterprise, Opens for Business


        (Fort Worth, Texas) Tom Thompson has announced the formation of T3 Studios, a unique artistic endeavor that combines three of the owner’s passions and fields of expertise: photography, piano tuning, and trumpet playing.

An experienced professional in each of the three offerings, his slogan is “Find three things you can do, and do them very, very well.”

Tom began his photography career in Southern California, where he provided home portraiture and product photography while working as a free-lance photojournalist for a number of local newspapers. After relocating to his hometown Albany, New York, he worked as photo studio manager for a local camera store. In Texas since the late 90s, he has had an active free-lance commercial photography career, with dozens of North Texas clients. T3 studios will continue these aspects of photography and also expand its environmental portraiture and wedding photography services.

Tom Thompson Piano Tuning and Repair, founded Albany, NY, has been an ongoing commercial effort, as well, for over two decades. Tom’s technical abilities and love for music were a perfect fit for the art of piano tuning and repair. Through working with other piano technicians, the Steinway dealership in Albany, and the Piano Technicians Guild, he has serviced nearly every make and model piano over the years and looks forward to bringing the piano tuning business under the T3 Studios umbrella.

The third T, trumpet playing, has been a lifelong endeavor for Tom Thompson. Beginning in band in sixth grade, he developed his love for the trumpet as a music education major in college at Syracuse University. Since then, Tom has played his wide range of repertoire and music genres professionally---solo and with groups such as orchestras, big bands, brass ensembles, pit groups for musical theatre, and in liturgical settings for all sorts of family, business, performing arts, and community events.
