Joseph Santoro Promoted to Vice President, Sales
and Healthcare Systems for HEALTHPOINT, Ltd.

(FORT WORTH, TX) — Robert E. Bancroft, General Manager of HEALTHPOINT, Ltd., has announced that Joseph Santoro is now Vice President of Sales and Healthcare Systems for Healthpoint. Mr. Santoro, an 18-year wound care industry veteran, was most recently Vice President of Healthpoint Tissue Management’s Healthcare Systems group.

The group, launched by Mr. Santoro over five years ago, has grown considerably under his leadership, achieving and maintaining access across Healthpoint’s distribution channels, pharmacy partners, GPOs, IDNs, nursing home chains, multiple government payers, and commercial payers such as MCOs and PBMs. According to Mr. Bancroft, Mr. Santoro adeptly navigated Healthpoint’s transition to Medicare Part D. Under his watch, Healthpoint’s key brands are now accessible to more than 90 percent of the seniors enrolled in Medicare Part D.

Healthpoint markets proprietary over-the-counter, prescription and biopharmaceutical products for skin and soft tissue indications.

“Joe has been a key architect of Healthpoint’s success,” said Mr. Bancroft. “His proven ability to attract talent and spearhead the definition, development and integration of critical functions here will prove invaluable in leading and synchronizing our Sales and Healthcare Systems organizations.”

Mr. Santoro was one of the first divisional sales managers hired to build Healthpoint’s acute care field sales organization. He was named Divisional Sales Manager of the Year two of his first four years with the company. Mr. Santoro’s strategic and leadership abilities generated success for Healthpoint in 1998 when, as Director of Sales, he designed and led the creation of Healthpoint Tissue Management’s Extended Care group, and in the three years under his leadership, Extended Care became Healthpoint’s fastest-growing business.

Mr. Santoro graduated from Indiana University in Bloomington with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration. He served in several sales and marketing positions for the wound and skin care division of another healthcare company prior to joining Healthpoint in 1993.

Since its inception in 1992, Healthpoint has established a U.S. presence in the research, development, and marketing of branded pharmaceuticals, over the counter drugs, and medical devices for tissue management and surgical indications. An aggressive research and development effort has brought Healthpoint’s unique technologies to the market, setting the pace for its highly trained field sales organization of direct sales representatives. Healthpoint, with over 300 employees, is a part of Branded Pharmaceuticals, a DFB Pharmaceuticals, Inc. business segment. Healthpoint is based in Fort Worth, Texas.
