DNA SERVICES OF AMERICA OPENS NEW DALLAS/FORT WORTH OFFICE
SCIENTIFIC DNA TESTING MADE ACCESSIBLE AND LOCALLY AVAILABLE

Arlington, Texas, July 23, 2007 – Dan Gideon, owner of the first Metroplex office of DNA Services of America, has announced the opening of the Arlington service center, which will provide personalized, confidential DNA-based testing services to 19 counties in North Texas.

DNA Services of America’s Metroplex office is located at 690 E Lamar Blvd, Suite 120, Arlington, Texas 76011. An official opening ceremony and ribbon-cutting will be held at the Arlington office on Thursday, July 26 at noon. The public is invited.

Headquarters for DNA Services of America (DNASOA) are in Louisiana; the company offers a broad variety of DNA tests in cities nationwide, including paternity, family relationship, infidelity, and forensic tests.

Finding answers to paternity and other life-changing questions quickly and painlessly is an urgent concern for many people, according to Mr. Gideon.

“If unmarried parents are unsure of paternity, they can complete a paternity test before signing the birth certificate and Acknowledgement of Paternity,” he said. “This will avoid most potential legal and financial ramifications for the support and care of the child.”

The most commonly purchased service is the paternity test. The current national out-of-wedlock birth rate in the United States is 36.8 percent, with the State of Texas at comparable rates. All states now require trained hospital personnel to counsel unmarried parents on a document usually referred to as an Acknowledgement of Paternity. Staff will coordinate testing services, collect DNA samples using a non-invasive cotton-tipped swab, send the sample to a licensed lab, and release test results to the tested parties, usually within three to five days. DNASOA also offers an option for next-day rushed results.

Other family relationship tests offered by DNA Services of America yields evidence needed to resolve issues such as immigration, adoption, establishing grandparent or relative’s guardianship rights, and social security or military child-survivor benefits.

According to Mr. Gideon, DNA Services of America’s approach is designed to inspire a greater sense of comfort and confidentiality.

“State contract laboratories route through vast call centers, with multiple people handling a given case,” he said. “These matters require empathy and privacy, which is exactly what DNASOA’s trained professionals provide, face-to-face.”

DNA Services of America provides results in three to five days; government-contracted labs usually take anywhere from two weeks to three months to return results, the company states.

DNA Services of America is a leading referral source throughout the medical, legal, social services and private investigative communities. The 19 county field of service for the Arlington office includes Dallas, Tarrant, Parker, Hood, Johnson, Rockwall, Kaufman, Hunt, Delta, Collins, Fanning, Montague, Rains, Cooke, Hopkins, Wise, Lamar, Denton, and Grayson counties.
