Industry Veterans Appointed to
Sheraton Fort Worth Hotel and Spa Executive Team
FORT
WORTH, Texas -- The Sheraton Fort Worth Hotel and Spa --- owned by Presidio
Hotel Fort Worth, LP, and operated by PHM Services, Inc. --- has announced
the executive appointments of Kristin Alderson, general manager; Shannon
Hopper, director of sales & marketing and Justin LaHue, director of
rooms. The hotel is scheduled to open in early 2008 after an elaborate
$46 million transformation.
Alderson, a hospitality
industry executive with 22 years’ experience,
is leading the executive team and directing the reconstruction and management
of the hotel. She was previously general manager for a boutique, four-diamond
property in downtown Fort Worth. Prior to that, Alderson served in executive
positions for RockResorts, Unique Hotels & Resorts’ 11 hotels and
resorts based in Scottsdale, Ariz.; Unique Hotels & Resorts, six hotels
and resorts, New York; Bel Air Hotel Company’s Historic Mission Inn
and L’Auberge Del Mar Resort & Spa; Hotel Nikko at Beverly Hills,
Dana Point Resort & Spa; and Alexis Park Resort & Spa, Las Vegas.
Alderson was also contracted as a training consultant at Hotel Bel-Air to
help the property regain the Mobile Five Star Award, which was achieved in
the next qualifying year. Alderson received a Bachelors of Science degree
in Hotel Administration and Management from the University of Nevada at Las
Vegas, and is expected to receive her MBA from Texas Woman’s University
in Denton, Texas, summer 2007.
Hopper brings
13 years of extensive hospitality experience that includes sales and marketing
expertise in opening hotel properties and taking over
management contracts to her position as director of sales and marketing at
Sheraton Fort Worth Hotel and Spa. Prior to joining the Sheraton Fort Worth
Hotel and Spa, Ms. Hopper was director of sales and marketing at Marriott
SpringHill Suites in Seattle. She also served as director of sales for Marriott
Residence Inn Cultural District in Fort Worth, Texas, where she accomplished
$1 million in pre-hotel opening sales, and was sales manager at a small,
luxury four-diamond property in downtown Fort Worth. Prior to these positions,
Ms. Hopper launched her hospitality career in the Four Seasons Resort and
Club management-training program. Hopper received a Bachelor of Human Science
degree in Restaurant, Hotel and Institutional Management from Texas Tech
University in Lubbock, Texas.
LaHue, with 14 years in hospitality management, has joined the Sheraton
Fort Worth Hotel and Spa as director of rooms. In his new position,
he will direct
and oversee the management and operational procedures for the front office,
guest services, housekeeping, security, and engineering departments in
order to provide and maintain the highest level of both product and
customer service.
LaHue was most recently the assistant hotel manager / director of rooms
at The Ashton Hotel, an AAA Four Diamond boutique hotel in the heart
of downtown
Fort Worth. Previously, he worked in various management roles within the
Radisson Plaza Hotel Fort Worth. LaHue began his hospitality career working
in the guest service departments of both the Hyatt Regency and Worthington
hotels. He received a Bachelors of Business Administration from Le Tourneau
University in Longview, Texas.
Located less than a block from the expanded Fort Worth Convention Center,
the Sheraton Fort Worth Hotel and Spa’s 430-custom designed guest rooms
and suites feature Sheraton’s signature Sweet Sleeper Bed™, complimentary
Wi-Fi Internet access, 32” flat panel HD television, shine by bliss® bath
amenities, and Starbucks® One-Cup coffee brewer; Club Level provides
private access, breakfast and evening hors d’oeuvres and cocktails.
For meetings and events, there is 22,000 square feet of flexible meeting
and event space; and to soothe the soul and sole, Spa BEAUBELLE provides
a 8,000 square foot full-service fitness center, spa and salon with a yoga
and Pilates studio and six treatment rooms.
