(FORT
WORTH, TX) — Rick Baumeister, Managing Partner of
Sanford, Baumeister & Frazier, PLLC, has announced that the Fort
Worth-based accounting firm has acquired the accounting practice
from Kent Altaras, CPA, effective immediately. Mr. Altaras is reducing
his practice and beginning retirement.
Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
Per the agreement between the two firms, substantially all of Mr.
Altaras’s clients will become clients of SB&F. Following
the transaction, Mr. Altaras will work on site at SB&F one day
each week to facilitate the transition.
“This is a bittersweet milestone,” said Mr. Altaras. “I’m
very close to my clients, but I could not have selected a more qualified
and compassionate successor to serve them than the SB&F partners.”
In addition to Mr. Baumeister, Sanford, Baumeister & Frazier
partners include Allyson B. Baumeister, Brian D. Jenke, Susan S.
Roberts, and Kevin L. Grubbs.
“We are honored that Kent has entrusted us with his clients,” echoed
Mr. Baumeister, “and we look forward to continuing his tradition
of excellence with the Altaras & Thompson clients.”
Additionally, Altaras senior manager Karen Abernathy, CPA, will join
SB&F from Altaras & Thompson. George Thompson will continue
