Allyson Baumeister has been elected to the 23-member Board of Directors
of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) for
a three year term.
The
AICPA Board of Directors acts as the executive committee, directing
Institute activities between Council meetings. The Board meets five
times a year and reports to the Council at least semiannually.
An
active participant with the AICPA since 1987, Ms. Baumeister serves
on Council and recently served on the Private Companies Practice Section
Executive Committee. She is also a member of the Texas Society of Certified
Public Accountants, currently serving as Strategic Planning Committee
chair, and is a former treasurer for the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce.
In addition, Ms. Baumeister served as president of the Fort Worth Chapter
of Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants from 1999 to 2000.

Ms.
Baumeister is a frequent and respected lecturer, having spoken
at AICPA-sponsored continuing education seminars across the country.
In her practice, Ms. Baumeister consults with businesses of all
sizes across many industries, focusing primarily on specialized
personal, business, and tax advisory, providing clients with
creative resolutions for complex issues. She also offers crucial
financial guidance and solutions to local professional groups
in the North Texas area.
Ms. Baumeister was selected by the The Fort Worth Business
Press as one of the 2009 Great Women of Texas, received the Texas Society of
CPA’s LoneStar Pathfinder Award in 2002 and was Young CPA of the Year in
1996. She was also the Fort Worth Chapter of Texas Society of Certified Public
Accountants Young CPA of the Year for 1994-1995 and was one of the Fort Worth
Business Press 40 Under 40 recipients in 1996. Ms. Baumeister was honored by
the Young Women’s Christian Association of Fort Worth and Tarrant County
as a part of the 2003 Tribute to Women in Business.

Accounting Today’s 2009 Best Accounting Firms to Work for and Texas Monthly’s
