Brewmaster Jamie Fulton Announces The Covey’s 100th Brew

Who: The Covey Restaurant & Brewery

What: Brewmaster Jamie Fulton announces The Covey’s 100th Brew

Where: The Covey Restaurant & Brewery, 3010 S. Hulen St., Fort Worth, Texas 76109

When: On tap as of February 2, 2009

Details: Almost three years after opening his doors and pouring the Covey’s first beer, Brewmaster Jamie Fulton will soon launch his 100th Covey brew. An especially prepared brew, Brewmaster Fulton looked toward his idols, the magnificently complex beers of Belgian origin/inspiration, and set out to brew a strong, amber-colored ale fermented with several different yeast strains originating from Belgian breweries. To complement the intense flavors contributed by the Belgian yeast, Brewmaster Fulton added Spalt and Hallertauer hops for flavor and aroma, and 50 pounds of Maui-imported turbinado sugar to boost the strength. This celebratory brew approaches 10 percent alcohol by volume. Come share in our success with a chalice of 100!

Brewmaster Fulton’s journey to 100 includes laudatory milestones for his World-class brews such as:

Vienna Lager, World Beer Cup gold medalist 2008, and Champion of the Vienna/Marzen Lager category for Rockies/Southwest region in the Winter 2007 United States Beer Tasting Championship.

Jack’s Reserve Barleywine, honorable mention, Barleywine category for Rockies/Southwest region, Winter 2008 United States Beer Tasting Championship

Cowboy Lager, Rockies/Southwest region Champion in the Dortmunder/Helles category, Summer 2007 United States Beer Tasting Championship

About The Covey Restaurant and Brewery:

The Covey Restaurant and Brewery is located at 3010 S. Hulen in Fort Worth, Texas, and serves fine food with a flair for wild game and custom-crafted beer, brewed on site. The Covey, established in April 2006, is a brew pub that’s two venues in one: a comfortable pub with a full bar and an elegant restaurant.
