This is the first year that SB&F has made Accounting Today’s Best Accounting Firms to Work For list and is one of only four Texas-based firms honored.

The Best Accounting Firms to Work For list has 100 companies split into three groups: 20 small-sized companies (15-24 employees), 65 medium-sized companies (25-249 employees), and 15 large-sized companies (more than 250 employees). With 32 employees, SB&F’s ranking is in the medium-sized category. Accounting Today and Best Companies Group managed the data collection and analysis and determined the final rankings.      The rankings list identifies, recognizes, and honors the best places of employment in the accounting industry, acknowledging their importance to the nation’s workforce, businesses, and economy. Companies from across the country entered the two-part survey process that consisted of evaluating each nominated company’s workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems, and demographics, and surveying employees to assess their personal experience of the company.

    Earlier this year, SB&F was named 20th Best Small Company to Work For in Texas for 2009 by Best Companies Group, which published the list in the February issue of Texas Monthly.
