(Fort Worth, Texas)— Richard T. (Rick) Baumeister, Jr., CPA, managing partner at Sanford, Baumeister & Frazier, PLLC, has announced the addition of Matthew Bush as Senior Tax Associate and the promotion of Beth Smaltz to Senior Tax Associate at the Fort Worth accounting firm.

Mr. Bush has worked in the accounting industry for over ten years. After graduating from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Arts, he earned his Master of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Texas at Dallas. Most recently, Mr. Bush worked for Lane Gorman Trubitt in Dallas. Mr. Bush is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, Texas Society of CPAs, the Dallas Chapter of Texas Society of CPAs, and the Associated Builders and Contractors of North Texas.

Ms. Smaltz served SB&F as a Tax Associate from January 2007 to July 2008. Ms. Smaltz holds an Associate of Arts degree in Accounting from Northampton Community College and a Bachelor of Science in Business degree in Accounting from the University of Phoenix. She is a member of the Texas Society of CPAs and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
