(Dallas, Texas) -- Eddie V’s Prime Seafood Dallas, located on Oak Lawn at Avondale, adds a well-honed appreciation of live music to its fine dining, melding good food and great sounds for a loyal and sophisticated following seven days a week.

    The restaurant’s V Lounge will open Monday, April 19, 2010, with the Mark Goodwin Trio. The Austin-based band will play frequently at the Dallas V Lounge in the upcoming months. Piano, bass and drums provide a traditional piano jazz sound.

    Another of Austin’s most respected and highly regarded jazz groups, the Kris Kimura Quartet, will also provide entertainment during April in the V Lounge. With over 300 performances a year across Texas, the Kris Kimura Quartet combines their passion for jazz music with the highest caliber of musicianship. Others slated for April are the Jonathan Sanson Trio and the Westsiders.

    The Eddie V’s Dallas grand opening April lineup exemplifies a signature element of the Eddie V’s music experience. The first Eddie V’s opened in Austin in 2000. Over the past decade, the company has expanded its Eddie V’s presence, infusing each new location with an homage to their Austin music origins. The V Lounge expects to add North Texas bands, as well.

    Happy Hour in the V Lounge runs from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with $2 off drinks and $3 off appetizers. The V Lounge stays open late on weekdays (until 11:00 p.m.) and on Friday and Saturday nights (until midnight), with live music nightly. Reservations are recommended; please call 214-890-1500.
