(Dallas, Texas) --- Eddie V’s
Prime Seafood Dallas opens its doors this evening at 4:00 p.m., Monday
April 19, 2010. The first night will highlight popular aspects of the
Eddie V’s experience, including valet parking; high-quality fresh
seafood and steak dishes; a wide-ranging wine list; and live music
provided tonight by the Austin-based Mark Goodwin Trio.
Located at 4023 Oak Lawn at the southern edge of Highland Park, Eddie
V’s occupies the southwest corner of the Equinox Fitness Club complex.
Occupancy is 300.
Eddie V’s Restaurants, Inc., co-founders and co-owners Guy Villavaso
and Larry Foles voiced their enthusiasm about the new Eddie V’s
location.
“Since Eddie V’s inception in Austin in early 2000, many Dallas
visitors inquired if we were ever coming to Dallas,” said Mr. Villavaso. “It
was never so much if we were coming to Dallas as when. When is now.”
“We love Dallas. It’s the right time and right location,” agreed
Mr. Foles, a native Texan and Austin resident. “Eddie V’s
will be an ideal addition to the business, social, and cultural blend
that is Dallas, Texas.”
The Eddie V’s Prime Seafood menu features selections from the Atlantic
and Pacific, all flown in daily, as well as the finest, specialty-aged
Midwestern USDA Prime center cut beef. Highlighting an innovative approach
to traditional seafood flavors, Chef Brad Albers also includes signature
Asian seafood preparation styles and popular appetizers and side dishes.
A distinctive wine list complements the exceptional cuisine, and a selection
of decadent desserts promises the perfect ending to any meal.
Eddie V’s Dallas will showcase nightly live music from outstanding
Austin-based and local North Texas combos in the V Lounge, with a raw
bar and drink specials from 4:00 p.m. daily.
In addition to the Mark Goodwin Trio, bands performing this week include
the Kris Kimura Quartet and the Jonathan Sanson Trio. A full listing

At the helm of Eddie V’s Dallas are Head Chef Brad Albers and General
Manager Mario Vega. They will oversee the new restaurant that includes
multiple public rooms, a private dining room seating 70-80 and the V
Lounge – all just minutes from downtown Dallas, Highland Park Village,
and the Oak Lawn, Turtle Creek and Uptown areas.
The restaurant’s interior, featuring custom lighting, mixed wood
finishes and natural-tone tile walls, was designed jointly by DPA Architects
and Heinrich Design, both of Scottsdale, and achieves a perfect balance
of style and comfort. Custom light sconces and chandeliers are provided
by High Road Customs of Phoenix, Ariz. and Hinckley’s Custom Lighting
of Scottsdale, Ariz.
Fine art on display features a commissioned painting by Austin artist
Pablo Taboada in the V Lounge.
Beginning on opening evening, Happy Hour in the V Lounge runs daily from
4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with $2 off drinks and $3 off appetizers. The
V Lounge stays open late on weekdays (until 11:00 p.m.) and on Friday
and Saturday nights (until midnight), with live music nightly.
The restaurant will break its evening-only standard for Mother’s
Day 2010, when it will open on Sunday, May 9, 2010 from 11:00 a.m. to
2:00 p.m. with a special à la carte brunch menu featuring some
of Eddie V’s signature selections.

Eddie V’s also offers private dining for special events. The private
dining room seats up to 80. Eddie V’s Prime Seafood is open for
dinner from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and until
11:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
