New Chef, Menu Additions, All Night Happy Hour
Enliven Eddie V’s Fort Worth Summer Evenings

    (Fort Worth, TX) – Jim VanDercook, president of Eddie V’s Restaurants Inc., has welcomed Fort Worth’s new executive chef Don Agate to Eddie V’s Museum Place, announced several new menu items executed by Chef Agate and his EVPS kitchen wizards, and is launching much-anticipated all-night happy hours on Sundays and Mondays throughout the summer season.

  • Chef Agate’s new post brings international flair to the popular Museum Place location. Eddie V’s owners and co-founders Guy Villavaso and Larry Foles cite Mr. Agate’s extensive experience, education, and culinary résumé as ideal for the Fort Worth market.

    “Don is a true asset to Eddie V’s,” Mr. VanDercook said. “With his unparalleled skill in the kitchen and excellent hospitality and management abilities, he’s the best choice to lead Eddie V’s Fort Worth as executive chef. We’re glad to welcome him.”

    Eddie V’s Fort Worth former executive chef Brad Albers was recently transferred to launch Eddie V’s Dallas. Eddie V’s Restaurants, Inc. executive chef John Carver said this team is ideal for the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

    “Eddie V’s is fortunate to have Don Agate and Brad Albers as executive chefs in Fort Worth and Dallas respectively,” he said. “We expect to see Eddie V’s continue its record of providing excellent service, great live music, and, most importantly, wonderful food to our patrons.”

    Don Agate is a magna cum laude graduate of the Johnson & Wales University culinary school in Norfolk, Va. (now located in Charlotte, N.C.). He acquired expertise, skill and impeccable taste at restaurants in Manhattan, the Finger Lakes region in upstate New York, North Carolina’s Outer Banks, and Club Med in San Salvador, Bahamas. At the Hotel Jerome and Kenichi Sushi in Aspen, Colo. as banquet and production chef, Mr. Agate worked with Bill Greenwood, also a former executive chef at Eddie V’s Fort Worth. Most recently, Mr. Agate worked with a Parisian chef at a Montreal bistro. There, he was responsible for a lunch menu that changed daily according to the freshest available ingredients at local markets. His honed appreciation for seasonal cuisine finds ample creative room at Eddie V’s, where the freshest seafood and produce guide special seasonal menu offerings.

  • Fort Worth new summer menu items include crab cocktail and bacon-wrapped shrimp appetizers, halibut Vera Cruz, and a selection of large and small side dishes.

  • Fort Worth Summer All-Night Happy Hour runs 4:00p.m. until close in the V Lounge Sunday and Monday in Fort Worth only. Eddie V’s Happy Hour features $5 mojitos, martinis, margaritas, and select wines by the glass, $2 off other drinks, and specially-priced appetizers.

    Eddie V’s takes dinner reservations nightly and offers three private rooms perfect for any special event. Eddie V’s Prime Seafood is open for dinner from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and until 11:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. Regular Happy Hour in the V Lounge runs from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, and Summer All-Night Happy Hour runs 4:00p.m. to close in the V Lounge Sunday and Monday (in Fort Worth only).
