Factory Selection Event April 1-3 in Midland

  • Estate and rebuilt pianos (with all Steinway parts), dating from as early as 1910. Each rebuilt Steinway piano sold by Steinway Hall – Dallas/Fort Worth/Plano only uses 100 percent genuine Steinway parts.
  • Pre-owned, gently played three-year-old Steinways. Many gently used Steinways for sale were played by the competitors in the 13th Van Cliburn International Competition in Fort Worth (2009), an all-Steinway competition.
  • Select new Steinways.
  • Steinway-designed Boston and Essex pianos.

Special Free Screening, Note By Note — The Making of Steinway L1037 (Documentary) -- March 31 in Midland

  • Directed by Ben Niles, Edited by Purcell Carson and Geoff Obrien
  • Feature-length independent documentary that follows the creation of a Steinway concert grand, #L1037— from forest floor to concert hall.
  • Explores the extraordinary dialogue between an artist and an instrument crafted out of human hands but borne of the materials of nature.

Documentary Screening: Wednesday, March 31 at 7:00 p.m.
Why   To present a full range of fine pianos and the story behind them to West Texas families, from a convenient location at the Hilton Midland Plaza. To provide selection, information, convenience and access for West Texas buyers who want to learn about the Steinway projects and have been waiting for the right time to invest.
Who   For professionals, amateurs, music lovers of all ages; individuals and institutions. Steinway Hall Dallas professionals will be on hand to answer questions and assist with selection, including Steve Claunch, Steinway Hall Dallas/Fort Worth/Plano’s Chief Concert Technician. A native of Abilene, Steve spent the first 25 years of his career tuning pianos all over West Texas. His family still runs Claunch Piano Service in Abilene.
