    (Fort Worth, Texas) — This February, Prim & Proper owner Melanie Jones is taking gift-giving personally, working with Lauren Essl, a local letterpress artist, calligrapher, designer and principal of Blue Eye Brown Eye, to create an interactive trunk show for those looking to create a Valentine’s Day worth remembering. The event titled “Love Notes and Sweet Somethings” will take place at Prim & Proper February 10, 5:00PM – 8:00PM.
Whether you’re shopping for a friend, a colleague, a husband or daughter, Ms. Jones’s goal behind “Love Notes” is for patrons to be able to simply express to his or her gift recipient: “my life is better with you in it.”

    During the trunk show, Ms. Essl will feature her letterpress creations and will also be available for quick, “sweet somethings” written in perfect, beautiful penmanship. Both Ms. Essl and Ms. Jones are accomplished designers and will assist Prim & Proper customers with gift wrapping inspirations and other creative suggestions.

    “My hope is that this event will be a great way for women to get in touch with their crafty side,” said Ms. Jones. “This will also be a great time for men to come in for pain-free, one-stop-shopping!”

    “Love Notes and Sweet Somethings” will offer:

• Blue Eye Brown Eye letterpress and calligraphy for day-of purchase as well as order placement
• A “sip and wrap” station for Prim & Proper patrons who want to take advantage of the store’s gift wrapping trimmings and in-house advisors
• Gift wrapping service (patrons purchase the gifts, and Ms. Jones will wrap the presents for pick-up at a later date)
• Complimentary sweets provided by Chef Callie Salls of Linguine and Dirty Martinis
• Floral arrangements for order
• Raffle items from select vendors
• Donation opportunities for American Heart Association in honor of National Heart Month and the Go Red for Women Luncheon

    Prim & Proper aligns with a different, local non-profit each month. Past non-profits that Prim & Proper has benefitted include Lena Pope Home, Tarrant Area Food Bank, the Joan Katz Breast Center and Fort Worth Zoo, among others.
