CPA Michaela Cromar Joins Sanford, Baumeister
& Frazier as Senior Tax Manager

   (Fort Worth, Texas)— Richard T. (Rick) Baumeister, Jr., CPA, managing partner at Sanford, Baumeister & Frazier, PLLC, has announced the addition of Michaela Cromar, CPA, as a senior tax manager involved in income tax engagements for businesses and individual clients with a special focus on SB&F’s Not-for-Profit industry services.

    Previously, she was in a similar role with the tax consulting division at Sproles Woodard, LLP’s Fort Worth office and prior to that she was an accountant at J.A. Garrison and Co., P.C., also in Fort Worth.

    “Her remarkable professionalism and extensive connections in the community were a perfect fit for SB&F,” said Mr. Baumeister. “We are honored to have her on staff.”

    Michaela Cromar is a frequent guest speaker in the nonprofit field and was selected as a faculty member for the University of Texas Law School 28th Annual Nonprofit Organizations Institute in January, 2011.

    Her community involvement includes treasurer roles for both the Board of Directors of Courage and Renewal North Texas and for Leadership Fort Worth. She is a trustee of Brite Divinity School where she’s the organization’s audit committee chair and member of the Brite Student Affairs Committee.

 

    Professional memberships include the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Texas Society of CPAs (TSCPA), and the Fort Worth Chapter of the TSCPA. Previous community and professional service includes treasurer and finance committee member at Colleyville First United Methodist Church; treasurer and 2003 class representative of the Air Force Academy Parents’ Club; Fort Worth TSCPA chair of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram Tax Hotline; and membership in the “One Brick” section of Fort Worth Leaders’ Fund.

    Michaela Cromar is a graduate of Leadership Colleyville and Leadership Fort Worth. She received her Bachelor of Arts with honours from Queen’s University at Kingston in Kingston, Ontario, Canada before completing a Masters of Professional Accounting at the University of Texas at Arlington.
