Proposal Writing and Support
Founded by a principal of JB Davies, Inc., AGT was one of the first U.S. enterprises to develop and implement GIS for municipalities ranging in size from 50,000 to 2.5 million citizens. PHPR worked on public information and communications projects directed at businesses and other city service element aspects in Fulton County, Georgia regarding wastewater and stormwater when GIS was implemented there in the early 1990s. PHPR also assisted AGT in establishing a business relationship with Dallas Fort Worth International Airport: we provided public information and other educational support materials around the development of a GIS system for DFW Airport, an effort in which AGT was a significant partner.
Additionally, PHPR researched, wrote, edited, and published a series of newsletters explaining the value of GIS, especially as it related to stormwater issues. We provided presentation support for numerous information conveyance opportunities in municipalities across Texas. PHPR also developed and wrote thought-leadership papers about wastewater and stormwater utilities concerns for the company.
PHPR was a consultant with AGT until the firm was sold.

In March of 2005, GAINSCO Auto Insurance, a nonstandard personal auto insurance company based in Dallas, called upon PHPR to design, launch, and maintain a sales promotion program around the company's new brand, "Are You Driven?" and auto racing sponsorship of the GAINSCO 99 car in the Grand American racing series. In 2007, PHPR re-designed a twice-yearly member bulletin, repositioning it as a consumer magazine, IRIDOS, for the Botanical Research Institute of Texas. The IRIDOS team, led by PHPR, transformed this significant scientific publication into an award-winning lifestyle magazine with an esthetically pleasing appearance, excellent editorial content, and broad public appeal.
We continue as editorial consultants to the organization, which will open a new multi-million dollar headquarters in Fort Worth in May 2011.

Sensitive Issue Management,
Public Information, and Rebranding
In late August of 2006, Assistant Superintendent Janet Wynne sought professional consulting from PHPR, InterStar, and Henry Consulting for issue management and media relations expertise. The team was responsible for developing and implementing the best practices to assure that CISD's messages were constructed and conveyed effectively and appropriately.
The group worked to ensure that CISD's excellent educational efforts would not be overshadowed by issues and resulting outcomes. PHPR developed an approach to manage public information and implement a short-term initiative that included procedures, recommendations, and processes to prepare and disseminate information about the district and its specific challenges. PHPR also outlined a long-term plan to continue the strategic advances made in the first 60 days.

In 2004, after branding the program as "It's Science!," our efforts included focus group interviews with students; an outreach and communications plan that could be used repeatedly for "It's Science!"; promotions and innovative ideas to increase participation; and coaching and instruction for FWISD administrators and teachers about PR and marketing and their applications for classroom inspiration. In addition, PHPR provided consulting, issues management, and immediate communications solutions for the district team overseeing the grant program.

In late summer of 2008, Eddie V's Restaurants, Inc. selected PHPR to act as its local PR partner to guide Eddie V's Prime Seafood's entry into the Fort Worth marketplace. Comprehensive PR Support
PHPR originally worked with GAINSCO from 1999 through September 2001. As the company reestablished its presence following a difficult three years post-9/11, PHPR worked alongside their executive team to develop a reintroduction of their brand, design and production of print collateral and other marketing materials to increase brand awareness, and planned and executed a year-long, race car-themed extensive sales incentive program. The program included corporate special events and bolstered external and internal communications around the brand change. During our tenure, GAINSCO grew exponentially and exceeded sales targets. Agent participants received rewards for sales achievements every month, including trips to national racetracks to watch the GAINSCO 99 Grand Am race car in action. PHPR transfered responsibility for the campaign, as planned, to the individual internal marketing division in 2007.

PHPR also developed a Speaker's Bureau system which will store external communication and contact information for future use in speaking engagements, co-branding needs, and any other form of outreach to the community. PHPR continues to provide TAFB with ongoing PR, marketing, and advertising support, including creative design services.

In the fall of 2002, PHPR was engaged by a consortium of private hoteliers to design and execute a four-week grassroots campaign to garner 16,000 signatures on petitions requesting that the Fort Worth City Council allow citizens a vote on the proposed use of city funds for a Downtown Convention Center Hotel. In three days, PHPR created and launched the program for our client. The project, extended to six weeks, was successful.

Magazine and Technical Writing
In 2007, PHPR re-designed a twice-yearly member bulletin, repositioning it as a consumer magazine, IRIDOS, for the Botanical Research Institute of Texas. The IRIDOS team, led by PHPR, transformed this significant scientific publication into an award-winning lifestyle magazine with an esthetically pleasing appearance, excellent editorial content, and broad public appeal.
We continue as editorial consultants to the organization, which will open a new multi-million dollar headquarters in Fort Worth in May 2011.

Campaign Branding and Design
Strategic Planning, Research, and
Media Relations
The Greater Fort Worth Association of REALTORS contracted with PHPR in February 2009 to create a targeted, four-month public relations campaign focused on dispelling public misperceptions about housing sales and prospects in Fort Worth and promoting the relative strength and health of residential real estate in North Texas.
PHPR designed a three-element approach carefully tailored to stated goals. Among the deliverables were a public opinion survey, a campaign brand, internal communications, and a media relationship component to communicate their messages to the general public.

PR Planning, Media Relations, and
Community Relations
PHPR provided PR program development and media relations support to enhance brand awareness locally and nationally for The Woodmont Company, a successful commercial real estate development and management company with a focus on retail. Acting as strategic analysts and lead liaison between Woodmont brokers and the media, PHPR prepared a comprehensive media relations effort that included a process and methodology to gather, write, and disseminate announcements of Woodmont transactions across the country. Throughout 2005 and 2006, we served as their strategic analysts and consultants on transactions, helping to prioritize, write, and distribute news for the company.
We also supported public affairs for Woodmont to prepare presentations for city council action and approval for various projects in Texas, Oklahoma, Ohio, and Mississippi.

Launch Plan Development
In early 2009, PHPR developed a brand, initial business and marketing materials, and an outline for a comprehensive program to increase awareness of NanoMaterials Design & Commercialization Center at Alliance (NDCC), a consortium of leading Aerospace, Defense and Advanced Manufacturing (ADAM) companies and research universities. NDCC works with the State of Texas to identify and address pre-competitive challenges in design and fabrication with the goal of accelerating the translation of nano-science into market-ready materials. NDCC provides member companies with an opportunity to leverage internal R&D resources while addressing high-value/high-risk technological challenges that confront the entire ADAM sector, enabling businesses to focus internal resources on developing differentiators with which they can establish their own competitive advantages.

Developed New Branding
and All Content for Interactive Website
Leading up to the fall 2010 publication and launch of The Warren Buffetts Next Door by Matthew Schifrin (John Wiley & Sons and Forbes, New York), PHPR developed new branding and all content for Marketocracy’s interactive website www.marketocracy.com produced by Dave Bittenger with EA Design. The site features the track records and special profiles of several “Warren Buffetts Next Door.” The company offers a subscription to the general public at no charge so they can “follow” Marketocracy Masters, review their track records, and get updates on their activities. Marketocracy Inc. was founded by Ken Kam in 2000. Its subsidiary Marketocracy Data Services LLC operates a farm system for investors much in the same way that major league baseball teams have farm systems for baseball players. Marketocracy Inc.’s other wholly-owned subsidiary Marketocracy Capital Management LLC (MCM) is an SEC registered investment advisor that contracts with MDS to use the research generated by the Marketocracy Masters to manage mutual funds, hedge funds, and separately managed accounts for clients. MCM requires that all MCM Analysts first achieve the designation of Marketocracy Master, a vetting process that precedes use of their investment research and strategies on client accounts. Marketocracy has offices in California and Texas and is on the web at www.marketocracy.com.
