Paige Hendricks Russey – A Brief Profile

Paige has led PHPR since its founding in 1978.

Paige Hendricks Russey began her career as a journalist, advertising designer and sales professional with newspapers in Alabama and New York.  She worked in public relations with community and regional theatre in upstate New York and Dallas before starting her own PR consulting firm in 1978 in Dallas. PHPR served all of the Southwest and beyond from Fort Worth, Texas, headquarters from 1984 until 2021, when she reduced client work to a practice focused on high-level strategic consulting..

In addition to serving privately and publicly-held corporations, Paige has consulted with dozens of small businesses, professionals, and non-profits and worked on diverse public issues and campaigns.  Her experience includes brand development, business development consulting, investor relations, political campaigns, issues management, and integrated marketing communications for many groups, especially during transitions, expansions, and acquisitions. She also consulted for companies in England, India, Canada, and Mexico. She and her firm created outstanding programs for an extensively varied client base, including, among others, these organizations: Scenic Fort Worth, Caregiver Inc., Summit Bancshares, Texas Ballet Theater, DRC Solutions; ArtWorks Foundation; Reitman Consulting; Ellerbe Fine Foods; Enterhost; The Rigg Group; Steinway Piano Gallery; NurseCore; The Texas Hip and Knee Center; Casa Manana; DFB Pharmaceuticals and Healthpoint Ltd.; Eddie V’s Prime Seafood; Sheraton Fort Worth Hotel & Spa; Dallas Academy of Ophthalmology; Classic Wine; and Tarrant Area Food Bank.  

Paige has been active in the community, too, having held board positions with dozens of major North Texas area social service and arts organizations. She served for six years on the board of Educational First Steps and is currently a director for Stage West. As a 25 year member of the advisory board for Ballet Concerto, she has served for many years on TCU’s Schieffer College of Communication Board of Visitors and was formerly a director for the Rotary Club of Fort Worth. Paige Hendricks Russey is currently and has been in past years a member of many other professional associations and civic groups. 

With over 50 years as an accomplished strategist, writer, and designer, Paige began with studies in political science at Mount Vernon College in Washington, D.C., before completing her B.A. in journalism and English at Texas Christian University.  She did graduate work in English at the University of North Texas and completed the Harvard/MIT course on negotiations and dealing with an angry public.
